As soon as the House assembled for the day at 10.30 am, the Opposition members rushed to the Well holding banners and raised slogans demanding removal of MoS, Home, Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged close relation with the prime accused in the case.
The BJP legislators also demanded a CBI probe into the incident.
As they didn’t refrain from protest, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro adjourned the House at till 4 pm and then up to Monday. Speaker S N Patro, ahead of the winter session, had urged the legislators to refrain from creating any ruckus in the House, especially during the Question Hour.
Earlier in the day, the Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati came in a Brahmin attire and sprinkled Gangajal on the floor to ‘purify’ the Assembly.
Opposition members stated that the Assembly has become impure with entry of Minister Mishra.
