A five-member team of the Central investigating agency along with two witnesses conducted the raids at the official residence of Mishra here in Unit-I area.
However, the Badamba MLA, who is now in home isolation for Covid infection, said the CBI didn’t conduct any raid rather had come to take some documents from him.
“CBI officials sought for some documents relating to the Seashore Mahanadi Boating project. The probe in Seashore boating project case is underway since 2013. As I was the Tourism Minister at that time the officials asked me about the project documents. I told them that the documents are with the Tourism Department,” Mishra told reporters here.
Reports said the CBI sleuths also conducted raids in Mishra’s parental house in Damakata village in the Badamba-Narasinghpur area in Cuttack district.
Seashore Group is one of the 44 chit fund companies in Odisha that came under the scanner of CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) after the Supreme Court gave its order to probe their finances and transactions.
