Bhadrak, Dec 23: A free bike ambulance service was launched in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
As per reports, Hero Motors Corporation today donated two bike ambulances, equipped with medical kit and other facilities, to the District administration.
The bike ambulance service will be operated – one in Bhadrak Municipality area and other in Chandbali area in the district- to better reach emergencies
“We have already 108 ambulance services in the district. The two new bike ambulance service will help the patients staying near narrow lanes in the town or non-motorable road in rural areas. Of the two, one will be stationed at Bhadrak town and other at Chandbali,” said District collector Gyana Das.
“We also thank Hero Motors Corporation, Bhadrak MP and MLA for all their support,” he added.
Bhadrak MP Manjulata Mandal, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick, CDMO Dr sanjib Patra were present on the occasion.
