Bhubaneswar, Sep 24: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will go on a six-day visit to New Delhi from today. He is likely to join official programmes in the national capital during his stay.
The Chief Minister will attend a meeting on Maoists issue to be presided over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting scheduled to be held on September 26 will also be attended by Chief Ministers of other Maoist-hit States, including Odisha’s neighbouring Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has invited the Chief Ministers to the meeting.
The Chief Minister is unlikely to campaign for BJD candidate Rudra Pratap Maharathy for Pipili Assembly seat by-poll as he will remain absent till the last day of campaigning.
