Acting on a protest petition filed by Ramakanta Baral, son of slain former Mahanga block chairman Kulamani Baral, the court said It is opposite that a thorough investigation is required in the light of the allegation raised by the informant in the protest petition against Pratap Kumar Jena.
Reacting to the court order, Ramakant said, “We have all trust on the judiciary. We have proof that Pratap Jena is involved in the murder of my father and Dibyasingha Baral. We will submit the evidence in time before the court. We are also certain that the truth will come out.”
He demanded that the Chief Minister should oust Jena from the Council of Ministers so that the investigation can be done in a fairly manner.
Notably, Ramakant, in his FIR, had named 14 accused persons. The name of Minister Pratap Jena was at serial number 13. However, his name was dropped in the final chargesheet filed before the court.
