Cuttack, Mar 18: A private college in Odisha’s Cuttack city has been directed to be shut down for next 10 days after 12 students of the institution tested positive for Covid-19, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Thursday.
As per reports, As many as 50 students of the institution underwent rapid antigen tests after they developed some symptoms of the viral infection, out of which 12 students found to be covid positive.
CMC officials said that antigen tests of remaining students will be conducted and the contact tracing of the infected students will be carried out.
The faculty members have also been asked to be quarantined, the civic body said.
As many as 84 Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the State in the last 24 hours, taking the Covid tally of the State to 3,38,489, according to the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
