Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The BJP will intensify protests against brutal killing of its two leaders, Kulamani Baral and Dibyasingha Baral, in Cuttack district’s Mahanga and press for ouster of Law minister Pratap Jana for his alleged complicity and arrest of all accused involved in the inhuman act, informed party functionaries here on Monday.
“Ruling BJD Government is trying to suppress the murder case of two BJP leaders in Mahanga. The law and order situation in Odisha has already worsened to the level of West Bengal. Those raising voice against Naveen Patnaik Governent are being killed,” alleged BJP State general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan.
Addressing a Press meet at the BJP State headquarters here, Harichandan said the BJP Yuba Morcha activies will gherao police stations across Odisha tomorrow demanding arrests of Law Minister Jena and other accused persons. The BJP will gherao all SP offices on January 6 and DGP office on January 8, said Harichandan.
Among others, general secretary Lekhasri Samantsinghar and spokesperson Golak Mohapatra were present.
Notably, BJP activists had staged protests in front of all block offices in Cuttack district today, demanding ouster of the Minister and arrest of all 14 accused persons named in the FIR lodged at the Mahanga police station yesterday.
