As per reports, the miscreants entered the shop, namely Mahalaxmi Jewellery, late last night and decamped with gold and silver ornaments.
The entire incident was reportedly captured in CCTV camera installed in the shop.
The owner of the jewellery shop, Sushant Kumar Chinera, lodged complaints with the Konark police station here this morning.
Later, the police reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.
Police have booked the unidentified burglars under several sections of the Indian Penal Code in this connection. “A search is underway to nab the accused,” police said.
