Naba Jaubana Besha is the holy sight of juvenile youth of Lord Jagannath and his siblings.
Puri, Jul 9: After recuperating at Anasara Ghara for 14 days, Lord Jagannath and his siblings have regained their youthful looks and will again give darshan as Naba Jaubana Besha at the Srimandir here on Friday.
However, devotees have been restricted to have a glimpse of the holy trinity in this rare appearance due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Naba Jaubana Besha is the holy sight of juvenile youth of Lord Jagannath and his siblings. Daitas wash the body of the holy trinity and repaint them except for the eyes.
Notably, Lord Jagannath and his siblings fall ill after taking bath during Snana Yatra. They are then put up at Anasara Pindi to recuperate. The sibling deities are said to become completely cured once the Anasara rituals come to an end.
As per reports, the ‘Chaka Apasara’ ritual was performed in the morning followed by Mangala Alati and Abakash rituals. The Naba Jauban Besha ritual will be held after ‘Bahuda Bije of Dasavatar’ this afternoon.
The famous Rath Yatra will be held after two days without the participation of general devotees due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
