The dashboard revealed that Khurda district reported highest seven fatalities, followed by Balasore 6, Jajpur 3, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj 2 each, Angul, Nabarangpur and Puri 1 each.
A 20-day-old baby boy from Bhadrak is also among the deceased today. He was suffering from Prematurity & Low birth weight.
The Health and Family Welfare Department, however, stated that the list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19, it added.
