Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha issued a whip to its MLAs to be present in the State Assembly on Thursday.
As per reports, the chief whip of BJP Legislature Party in Odisha Legislative Assembly, Mohan Charan Majhi, issued whip to the party MLAs to remain present in the State Assembly from 10 am to 7 pm today.
“All the members of BJP Legislature Party are here by directed to remain present in the OLA on 18.03.2021 (Thursday) at 10 am to 7 pm without fail. If anybody fails to attend the Assembly without permission or without sufficient reasons, action deemed proper will be taken against him,” the whip read.
So far, no business was transacted in the House for last five days as opposition members continued with their relentless protests over paddy procurement issue.
