Pradhan, who was in Badikata under Padampur constituency to campaign for party candidate Pradip Purohit, addressed a public congregation when he targeted the State government over its announcement of Rs 5 lakh loan without interest to women SHGs.
“They (State government) have lost their ability to think and launch something new for the people of the State which is proved in their hijacking of central schemes,” Union Minister said.
“The Odisha government has adopted a policy of frying fish in its own oil. It has failed to provide basic facilities to the people of the State. The BJD is trying to win the election with fake promises. But the people will give a befitting reply to the BJD government for what it has done in the last 22 years,” Pradhan attacked the State government.
The state Government is lying in the Assembly on the issue of drinking water supply to every village, where mothers and daughter of Bargarh district are still going to fetch water from rivers and ponds, Pradhan said.
The Centre provides an interest waiver between seven per cent to 11 per cent to women SHGs, while the State gives only 4 per cent . The Chief Minister should honestly answer what he has done for women in the last 22 years.
