Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Pradhan paid a floral tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar in Dhenkanal. On the birthday of Ambedkar, he offered garlands on the statue of Ambedkara at Kandarsinga village under the Parjang block limit in the morning.
Following this, he addressed the residents of Parjang block on the welfare programmes of the Centre meant for the poverty-stricken human resources.
“Ambedkar’s ideals are a source of inspiration in our efforts to empower citizens and build an equal society,” the Union Minister said. He also highlighted the welfare schemes of the Centre owing to develop the socio-economic conditions of the underprivileged people and the Dalits, in his speech.
The Modi government has given priority to the backward, SC, ST, and Dalit people in the field of education and jobs, he said.

During the visit, the Union minister visited Kendriya Vidyalaya-1 in Angul and held discussions with the teachers and students. He also discussed the new national education policy (NEP), as well as the skills development of students.
