Bhubaneswar, Apr 15: As many as 2,989 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the past 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 tally of the State to 3,58,342, officials said on Thursday.
Out of the fresh 2,989 COVID-19 cases, 1.733 cases were detected from quarantined people, while 1,256 cases were reported from local contacts.
Sundargarh district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 631, followed by Khordha at 438.
According to the State Health Department, as many as 3,41,733 people of the State have recovered from Coronavirus infection so far.
Odisha currently has 14,621 active cases, the Health Department said.
