As per the report, the victim identified as Jhili Pradhan had married Jitu Arukh of Dangisahi of Buguda area around eight months ago. However, Jitu’s father reached Jhili’s house today morning and informed that she had gone missing since last night and remains untraceable.
But much to the shock of the family members of the victim she was recovered in a state of hand and legs tied up and mouth stuffed with cotton from a bamboo vessel from her in-laws’ village later in the day.
Jhili was first rushed to Buguda Hospital in a 108 ambulance and then shifted to MKCG Hospital in Berhampur for treatment in a critical condition.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family, police have detained her father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law over their involvement in the case.
