Dhenkanal Police has arrested at least three staffs of a private firm on charges of cheating a number of youths with the promise of providing them employment in State Agriclulture Department.
The held accused have been identified as Lincoln Samal, Manoj Sahu and Bikash Biswal.
As per the allegation, the accused trio said to be staffs of one Glez Trading India Private Limited had collected hefty sum of registration fee from a number of youths from Sambalpur, Deogarh and Angul on the assurance of providing them jobs in State Agriculture Department in past few months.
However, at a later stage the aspirants were felt cheated after the trio forced them to sell the products of their company and unlawfully detained at a house in Dhenkanal Town.
Some youths who managed to escape from the detention yesterday reported the matter to Town Police, which later swung into action.
“The matter is under investigation and stringent action will the taken against the culprits if found guilty,” said Town Police IIC Namit Patnaik while reacting on the incident.
