Bhubaneswar, May 8: The capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar, witnessed sudden change in weather as light rain and thunderstorm occurred at many parts of the city on Saturday evening.
The sudden change in the weather gave relief to the people stuck in homes due to the weekend shutdown imposed by the State Government to contain the spread of Covid-19.
The MeT Department forecast partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower over the city for next 24 hours.
The maximum and minimum temperature of Bhubaneswar is very likely to be around 38 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively during the period, the MeT Department predicted.
Today, the maximum temperature of 39.7 degree Celsius and minimum temperature of 25 degree Celsius were recorded at the State Capital, according to the IMD's weather bulletin.
