Through it, the party protested against presence of Minister of State for Home, Dibya Shankar Mishra in the State assembly. Mishra name has got linked to the gruesome murder of Mamita Meher, the school teacher of Sunshine School at Mahalinga. Opposition parties are demanding his ouster. BJP leaders alleged that Mishra’s presence has damaged sacredness of the State assembly. So, as per traditional belief they sprinkled gobar water and Gangajal to sanctify the legislative assembly campus.
Today morning there was huge ruckus in the well of the House. Opposition parties are continuing much hue and cry in the assembly over the Mamita Meher murder case. The house could function for less than a minute and then it was adjourned by the Speaker till 11.30AM today. Functioning of the State Assembly is affected for third consecutive day due to the furore over Mamita Meher murder case.
Meanwhile, activists of the BJP sounded gongs to hold a protest demonstration at Master Canteen Square of Bhubaneswar. They demanded resignation of Minister Mishra and CBI inquiry of the Mamita Meher murder case.
