The deceased student has been identified as Prajna Paramita Parida, a First Year student of Vedanta Department. She was found dead in her hostel room.
On being informed by university authorities, police have reached the spot and started investigation into the mysterious death.
The exact reason behind the death of Parida is yet to be known.
