The BJP promised to abolish the PC (Percentage) culture at panchayat and block level, if voted to power in the ensuing three-tier polls in the State.
The saffron party also said that they will not allow corrupt officials and leaders to extort bribe from the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Swachh Bharat schemes.
The party also promised to create Men Self Help Group (MSHG) community which will be constituted in line with the Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs).
The saffron party promised to streamline the Mandi system in the state and put an end to the ‘Dalal Raj’. It promised to abolish the centralised token system for paddy procurement.
The BJP also promised to curtail the monopoly of millers in the interest of farmers, among other things.
Former Minister Surama Padhy, Brahmagiri MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, former MP Balabhadra Majhi and several top leaders of the party were present on the occasion.
