Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: As many as 335 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 tally of the State to 3,23,364, officials said on Saturday.
Out of the fresh 335 COVID-19 cases, 193 were detected from various quarantine centres in the State, while 142 were reported from local contact cases.
Sundargarh district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 52, followed by Mayurbhanj at 29.
Three districts – Kandhamal, Gajapati and Subarnapur - have not registered any fresh case, officials added.
According to the State Health and Family Welfare Department, as many as four people succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours.
Taking to twitter, the Health Department said, “Regret to inform the demise of four numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals.”
Of the four fresh fatalities, two were reported from Sundargarh and one each from Balasore and Malkangiri districts.
Odisha currently has 3,231 active cases, said the Health Department.
