Bhubaneswar, Jul 16: The process for holding elections to three-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in Odisha has begun with the State Election Commission (SEC) asking district Collectors to inform about ballot boxes kept in their respective districts.
Elections to three-tire PRIs (Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad), is likely to be held in early 2022.
The SEC wrote a letter to all Collectors asking them to submit an inventory of ballot boxes available in their respective districts by July 26.
