As per the report, at least two wheels of the Parcel Van of the train located next to the engine jumped off the track. The mishap which occurred at 11.14 hours however didn’t cause any casualty, informed East Coast Railway (ECoR) in its statement later.
The derailment even didn’t affect the train traffic on Kharagpur-Bhubaneswar mainline, the statement added.
Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road accompanied by a team of high level officials and ART reached the spot to launch a probe into the parcel van derailment later in the day.
