The deceased has been identified as Amit Acharya. The exact reason behind the ghastly act was yet to be known.
After a preliminary investigation, police suspect that more than one person is involved in the murder of Amit, whose body has several deep cut marks. Injury marks indicate that he was hacked with sharp weapons like sword.
On being informed, a team of Polsara police and Purushottampur SDPO have visited the spot and started investigation, after sending the body for post-mortem.
